What do you get from the Butler?

Most mini-leagues start the season loud and end it quiet. The Butler gives yours something to argue about every single round, from the opening weekend to the last. Before the deadline: which transfers your rivals have made, which chips are in play and who gets the armband, all sealed as the Butler's predictions, on record before kickoff (he calls it the Protocol). While the matches run: the Live tab inside your league's summary view keeps a running log of the round as it happens, with swings at the top, chips burning and captains hauling. After the round: the full summary with standings, six awards and the Butler's verdict on who earned their points and who merely borrowed the league leader's team, plus share cards built for the group chat. Across the season it keeps building on the league's own season page, where the trophy cabinet and the longer story fill up round by round, all the way to the Wrapped finale when the season closes.

How does the Butler actually work?

The foundations are rule-based. FPL Butler fetches your league's data from the official Fantasy Premier League API and computes every standing, award, record and statistic with advanced deterministic models: the same maths for every league, every round. The prediction engine goes further. It projects every player from expected goals and assists, position, minutes and availability, blends those signals, and turns them into the calls the Butler seals before the deadline. Once the round is over the reckoning is settled automatically, and his hit rate follows him all season. The AI is only the prose layer on top. It turns those pre-computed facts into the Butler's voice: the verdict, the commentary, the grudges. It narrates the numbers; it never invents them.

Where do you find the league code?

Go to fantasy.premierleague.com and open your league. The code is the number in the URL after /leagues/. You can also find it in the FPL app under league settings.

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

Not to look. Anyone can open a league's summaries without signing in. A free account adds a little more: you can follow leagues, get an email when a summary is ready, and generate summaries for earlier gameweeks. Buying a season pass does require you to be signed in, so the purchase can be tied to the buyer, but everyone else in the league still needs no account to see what it unlocks.

How do I get notified when a summary is ready?

Create an account and subscribe to your league, and the Butler will email you when the gameweek summary is ready. You can turn notifications on or off at any time in settings.

Can I share a summary with my league?

Two ways. Every view has its own link: copy the address while you are looking at it (for example fplbutler.app/12345/summary, where 12345 is your league code) and paste it straight into the group chat. And then there are the share cards: ready-made cards of the round's awards, verdicts and stats, built to be screenshotted and passed around.

How large can my league be?

FPL Butler currently supports leagues with up to 200 teams. We are exploring options to support larger leagues in the future.

What does FPL Butler cost?

The numbers are free all season: standings, weekly stats and one shareable card per round. Every new league also starts with three full trial rounds where the Butler holds nothing back. After the trial, a season pass unlocks the Butler's written content: the verdict, the awards, the pre-deadline predictions and all share cards. It is a one-time purchase that covers the whole league for the rest of the season, no matter who pays.

Who's behind FPL Butler?

FPL Butler is an independent fan project, built and run by one FPL player with more than fifteen years in the game. It began as a weekly recap written by hand for a single mini-league, to keep everyone engaged through the autumn slump, and grew into the service you see today. As always: unofficial, and not affiliated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League.
